Taman Botani Putrajaya



Looking for a place to have your morning jog, cycle or a small family picnic? Taman Botani Putrajaya has you covered. This beautiful and peaceful park stretches over 92 hectares and features more than 750 species of plants from different continents worldwide. Come relax and unwind at any of its three main park areas: the Decorative Garden, Ethnobotany Park and Research & Rehabilitation.

What’s more? You can also choose to enjoy your day at one of the many botanical sectors within the park’s grounds. Whether it is having an intimate family picnic by the Ecological Pond or clocking in your daily exercise at the Bambusetum-themed area, Taman Botani Putrajaya provides its visitors with ultimate comfort and a peace of mind when visiting.

Also known as the “Mother of all Gardens”, Taman Botani Putrajaya is home to an array of different plant themes that make up over thirteen thematic gardens such as the Fern Garden, Sun Garden and Palm Hill.

Located at Lebuh Perdana Barat, Persint 1, 62000 Putrajaya, Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya, admission to this park is free and opens its doors to anyone who wishes to slow down and recharge whilst being surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Operating hours are as follows:

    9 am - 12 pm, 2 pm - 7 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday
    8 am - 12 pm, 2 pm - 7 pm

Taman Saujana Hijau

 

A picture-perfect location for wedding photoshoots, Taman Saujana Hijau offers the most awe striking sceneries. Featuring a variety of different plants like pines, thuja, juniperus and many more, this park exudes a ‘high country’ vibe, as if immediately transporting visitors to parts of Europe.

Taman Saujana Hijau is divided into three different parks, each with its original beauty and respective characters. The three parks, also known as Bustan (park), are Bustan English, Bustan Oriental and Bustan Eropah, each with its own unique design.

 

 

Jogging enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Taman Saujana Hijau is the perfect place to jog alongside shady trees and multicoloured plants. This park also offers other recreational activities such as a treasure hunt, an exploration tour and education and research activities for those who want to dive deeper into nature.

 

 

Don’t forget to follow along a guided and explorative roaming trail when you visit the park and soak up its beauty from the viewing area, or enjoy a picnic at a designated picnic area. Taman Saujana Hijau also offers the option to those who wish to rent out a section of the park to host personal events or photoshoots.

Taman Rimba Alam

Open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, Taman Rimba Alam is the ultimate showcase of urban forestry. The park consists of a tropical forest ecosystem with flowing streams and is equipped with park facilities, which are open to the public.

Enjoy a calm and peaceful walk through its trails, capture the beauty of nature’s bounty that Taman Rimba Alam holds from the viewing platform or simply enjoy its serene atmosphere with a relaxing picnic at the designated area.

At Taman Rimba Alam, visitors will come across the Forest Cengal, which is a collection of two timber forests. The park also has a section called Meranti Merah Forest, where you will be able to discover a multitude of trees such as the Meranti Tembaga, Meranti Kepong, Meranti Rambai Leaves and many more, including a variety of fruit trees. At the Local Natural Fruit Forests area of the park is where you will find various fruit trees such as the Machang, Durian Batang and more.

In addition to breathtaking nature, this park offers a selection of recreational activities. Enjoy a fun and exciting treasure hunt or score a glimpse of some of the most majestic birds that fly over the park when you join the park’s bird watching activity. Alternatively, rugged bikes are also available for rent, allowing you the freedom to ride around and freely take in its beautiful surroundings. Visitors are also open to join the camps that are hosted by Taman Rimba Alam. Learn and expand your knowledge about nature through the Survivor Camp, Forest Exploration or the Motivation camp.  

Here, you will also have the option to rent out the park to host private events.

Taman Wawasan Putrajaya

With its hilly and sloping terrain spanning over 132.28 acres, Taman Wawasan Putrajaya is one of the most unique parks in the area. This park is located in Nusa Perdana, making it not just the most accessible spot, but also a great attraction as visitors can drop by and bask in the stunning scenery and landscapes Putrajaya has to offer.

Here, you can also enjoy your daily exercises such as jogging or cycling in comfort and with a peace of mind. Many families regularly visit the park for an intimate and  tranquil picnic experience. Some of the many other attractions the park has to offer include Pebble Beach, Aqua Plaza, Review Platform and the Amphitheater Page Tapiori.

Visitors can explore these attractions from 7 am to 7 pm daily. You are also able to rent out the entire park for any private events you wish to host. The rental price for the park is RM 3,000 per day with a 2000 person capacity.


Taman Putra Perdana

This serene park marks Putrajaya’s initiation from being a palm oil estate to a Federal Administration Centre. The park spans over 62.2 hectares and features a multitude of attractions, including a herb garden, jogging track, flower garden and a Secret Garden. Another main attraction the park offers is the Megalith Site. Here, visitors are able to catch a glimpse of some of the megalith collection that was found way back in 1989. 

Some recreational activities visitors can enjoy or participate in include treasure hunting, jogging and cycling. Children will also be able to join in on the fun and excitement at the playground with a host of kid-friendly activities planned by the park. If you are a gym buff who loves the great outdoors, you will be pleased to learn that Taman Putra Perdana also has an outdoor gym that you will be able to enjoy.

 The park also allows visitors to rent out the park. Rental rates are as follows:

  • Site Rental: RM 50 (per hour)
  • Whole Park: RM 3,000 (per day)

 

Putrajaya Equestrian Park

 

 

Located at Presint 5, this garden city-inspired park is the perfect destination to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This park stretches over 70 acres and offers some of the best facilities that are open to the public. Fun fact: the Putrajaya Equestrian Park also hosts various national and international show jumping and dressage competitions. 

 In addition, the park also offers riding lessons for those who want to dip their toes in the riding world. Also offered, are livery for riding and escorted hacking for learners and riders alike. Riding classes, joyrides, stable tours and photoshoot rates are as follows:
